Coach Derek Doyle
8U Coach | High Level Throwing Coach
My coaching philosophy: I coach because I believe every athlete has more inside them than they realize, and my goal is to help them discover it through hard work, resilience, and confidence. I value attitude, effort, heart, accountability, and development, knowing these qualities shape both strong players and strong people. Winning matters, but growth and character matter more. I want every player to leave feeling challenged, supported, and confident in who they are on and off the field.
Coaching Goals This Season:
1. Build Trust and Develop Every PlayerCreate an environment where every player feels trusted, challenged, and supported. Help each player achieve individual goals while establishing clear expectations, accountability, and encouragement that allow them to develop.
2. Build a Strong Team CultureCreate a positive, family-like atmosphere where players and families feel connected, supported, and fully bought into what we are building together.
3. Have More FunDevelop a team that works hard, competes with confidence, and genuinely enjoys the game. Build trust through hard work, resilience, and having fun together.

"I always strongly stress the importance of fundamentals and making the rights plays no matter of how small of a play it might be."
Celebrate the small wins, they will turn into big wins.
Coach Richey
8U Coach
Softball is what brings us together, but it's not the most important thing we are teaching. "I am lucky to coach with amazing group of coaches who care just as much about the kids as they do the game." We want our players to work hard, support one another, have fun, and grow in confidence every time they step on the field.
"If they leave each practice and game believing in themselves a little more than when they arrived, we have done our job."
